SimpleMotoring.co.uk Chosen In Auto Trader Top 50 Websites

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Auto Trader top 50 website badgeSimple Motoring has been selected by Auto Trader as one of the world’s top 50 motoring websites. Our combination of plain English motoring information, motoring news and how-to guides attracted the attention of the folks at Auto Trader and persuaded them to add us to their top 50 list.

Naturally, I’m really pleased and a little bit proud of this result – Simple Motoring is a relatively new website and one that I’m still developing.

On that note, I’m planning some new additions and major changes over the next few months, so check back regularly and feel free to email me any thoughts you have about the site and its contents.

Thanks to the people at Autotrader for the ‘Top 50′ badge – I hope we’ll continue to deserve it.

Motoring in the Credit Crunch – Welcome to SimpleMotoring.co.uk

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

The bad news is that we are in a recession.

The worse news is that many of us will experience falling income, job losses and other economic nasties.

That’s why I’ve started SimpleMotoring.co.uk.

Statistics are already showing that we are keeping cars longer than we were during the boom years – not to mention trying to cut costs on servicing and repairing them.

I am not a mechanic but I am a car enthusiast and I do know almost enough to stop me feeling stupid when I go to a garage.

I have learned the hard way just how frustrating it feels when you don’t understand the problem that garage have found with your car and have no idea whether they are trying to rip you off. I’ve also found a good solution to this problem – using an AA-approved chain of service centres with more than 200 branches around the UK and fixed-price servicing for all vehicles.

The aim of this site is to give you the basic knowledge you need to take care of your car and make sure that it takes care of you – safely and legally. I will try to answer all the questions that I’ve had over the years – from basics like ‘how to check the oil and water’ through to more complex areas like understanding servicing requirements and tyre specifications.

All the while, I will try very hard to keep things in Plain English and make my explanations as simple as possible.

Running a car can be an expensive headache, but it doesn’t need to be. With SimpleMotoring.co.uk, I hope I can show you how to keep motoring, cheaply, reliably and Simply!

If you ever have any questions or comments for me, feel free to drop me an email at info@simplemotoring.co.uk or leave a comment here.

Until then, have a safe journey,

Roland
