Driving Test Fees To Rise From March 30

Driving test fees are to rise for all tests booked from March 30th onwards, according to the DSA (Driving Standards Agency).

The DSA says that they are trying “to ensure that fees remain as low as possible” but that “Despite this, increases are necessary to cover general running costs, developmental work and increases in inflation.”

Oh well.

If you are planning on taking your test soon but haven’t booked it yet, here are the new prices that will apply from 30th March:

  • Car theory test: £31 (increased from £30)
  • Car practical test: £62 (increased from £56.50)
  • Motorcycle theory test: £31 (increased from £30)
  • Motorcycle practical test: £90.50 (increased from £80)

Good luck if you are planning on a test in the near future!
